How to volunteer

If you want to volunteer for Bronte Gully Bushcare Group you don't have to be born with a green thumb! No experience or knowledge is necessary.

To join, simply turn up on one of our meeting dates between 10 am and 1 pm. Not all volunteers attend on a regular basis, so if you can't come every second week don't worry. Any time you can dedicate is a bonus.

Note: morning tea is usually devoured at 12. This is a good opportunity to meet the other volunteers and sample some of our famous cake!

If you're not sure where to go, check the where section for details on how to find us.

What do I bring?

As we are working on council property it's important that we conform to the occupational health and safety standards. Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, a wide-brimmed hat, gloves, long sleeved shirt, your oldest pair of jeans and some covered shoes. Tools are provided in a rather spiffy leather tool belt. Council provide sunscreen and gloves, but people generally like to bring their own.
