Gully news

The Bronte Gully Bushcare Group received an Australian Government Envirofund grant in late 2007 including a financial contribution from Waverley Council. This means that we will be able to further the work of the last nine years. We will start by establishing a native vegetation corridor by clearing weeds. The area will then be terraced and matted to stabilise the steep, sandy bank, reducing erosion and improving water quality in the gully and the adjacent marine reserve. We can now purchase and plant coastal heath (800 plants) grown from local provenance seed.
